About the event

Emiko's Mini Convention is a Not-For-Profit Event. Needless to say, we are a group individuals who really enjoys all facets of gaming, anime, and Indy filmmaking. Emiko's Mini events are run by volunteers who spend their time in getting ready to put on a weekend that is lively and fun for all.

Although this event is young , we feel that it is our responsibility to give back to ours schools and community. Upon the conclusion of our event, the EMC executives will be donating money to other organizations like the Grand River Hospital (GRH) to support research of Type 2 Diabetes, and the clubs to thank them for their support. Without all of their help this event would not be able to take place. It's our sincere hope that through this weekend of fun, we can help improve the lives of the people around us, whether it be through their enjoyment of our convention or through our donations. We thank everyone who has supported us in pursuit of this goal.

There aren't any conventions like this in the Grand River region, and it is our goal to bring one here for the kids, and the young at heart for both youths and adults in the area. In the anime program, we will not only be coordinating viewings of series designed to engage the viewer in perhaps a new and different experience than they have previously had, we will also be playing anime-themed games as well as holding panels and workshops such as Anime 101 for the new fan. It is our hope that con-goers will also cosplay, and participate in a cosplay masquerade.

We will be featuring a multitude of games such as tabletop role-playing games, video games, live action role-playing games, card games and board games. Our goal is to have a variety of options to appeal to each of the attendees.

We would like to say thank you to the participating organizations for helping in getting the event up and running!
